"40-Year-Old-Virgin" writer-director Judd Apatow will helm "Knocked Up," a comedy he wrote for Universal, which will begin production this summer.
Anne Hathaway will star with "40-Year-Old-Virgin" thesps Seth Rogen, Paul Rudd and Leslie Mann.
Comedy is about two people who have a one-nighter, realize they aren't right for each other and then a few months later learn they are going to have a baby.
Apatow is producing with Shauna Robertson and Clayton Townsend. Rogen and Evan Goldberg are exec producers. Pic is expected to be R-rated, as was "Virgin."
Universal Pictures' Donna Langley, president of production; Holly Bario, senior vice president of production; and Erik Baiers, creative executive; will oversee the project for the studio.
Hathaway, who last appeared in "Brokeback Mountain," takes "Knocked Up" after signing to play a young Jane Austen in indie pic "Becoming Jane." She stars opposite Meryl Streep in "The Devil Wears Prada" this summer for Fox.
