Nancy Travis will star in the TBS comedy pilot "Boy's Life."
Family laffer, about the relationship between an eighth-grader and his slightly eccentric single mom, is from "Malcolm in the Middle" scribe Rob Ulin. TBS is producing the project.
"Boy's Life" is one of three scripted half-hour pilots in contention for a 2006 pickup. Others are "My Boys," about the dating life of a female sports columnist, from Gavin Polone, Jamie Tarses and scribe Betsy Thomas, and "The Jeff Garlin Program," from Garlin and Phil Rosenthal (
Daily Variety, Jan. 26).
Travis last starred in the UPN pilot "Talk Show Diaries" and feature film "The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants."
