CBS has upped scheduling and program planning exec Andy Kubitz to veepee, while research analyst Noriko Gee has been promoted to manager of program planning and scheduling.

Kubitz and Gee both report to Kelly Kahl, senior exec VP of programming operations for CBS.

Kubitz, who's been part of the Eye scheduling department since 1996, is responsible for slotting primetime series, specials and longform projects while also maintaining a hand in UPN's sked. Exec also coordinates the net's theatrical acquisitions.

The shift of "Survivor" and "CSI" to Thursdays and, this past fall, the move of "Close to Home" to Fridays are among the sked moves Kubitz has had a hand in over the past five years.

Most recently, Kubitz served as director of program planning for the net.

As for Gee, exec will now be responsible for tracking the performance of CBS and, through August, UPN programs. She'll also collect information about and analyze the programming moves of Eye competitors.

Gee began her CBS career in 2001, starting out as an intern in the net's research division. She moved to Kahl's department in 2003.
