'Mongol' goes on rampage
Sales hit worldwide level for Beta



Beta has reported brisk sales on the second day of the European Film Market.

Sergei Bodrov's "Mongol," an historical epic about Ghengis Khan, sold to Shani Films/Lev Cinemas (Israel), the Italia Film (Middle East), Monolith (Poland), Progrom (Romania), Radiovision (Bulgaria) and Best Hollywood (Hungary).

TLA Releasing picked up U.S. rights to Dominique Deruddere's black comedy "The Wedding Party," which TLA prexy described as "an arthouse film wrapped around an action thriller."

Beta also sold Constantin's African love drama "The White Masai" to Festival Films (Spain), Cine Video y Television (Mexico) and Pasatiempo Pictures (Central America, Peru, Ecuador, Venezuela and Columbia).
