Abele, Torres new veeps in homevid division

New Line Home Entertainment has upped Laura Abele and Jesse Torres to VP.

Abele is VP of marketing, overseeing all New Line DVD releases. Torres has been named VP of content development, managing production and creative development of disc titles.

In addition, Katie Whittemore was promoted to executive director of marketing. She's been with the studio since 2000.

Most recently, Abele oversaw retail promotions at AIM Marketing. Whittemore has managed New Line DVD campaigns, including "Elf" and "Wedding Crashers," since 2000. Torres has been handling New Line disc projects since 1996 and joined the company in 1994.
