Bravo, home of "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy," will try its hand at reaching gay and lesbian auds online.
The cabler will add
OutzoneTV.com to its new lineup of broadband channels. Web effort is a collaboration with Planetout.com, which also operates the gay-themed media hub
Gay.com.
www.Planetout.com will be OutzoneTV.com's sole advertiser.
Channel, to launch in March, will air acquired and original content, including the Bravo series "Boy Meets Boy" and "Gay Weddings."
More daring than the station's content is Bravo's recent foray into broadband programming. Last month, the cabler turned its Trio station into
TrioTV.com and introduced
BrilliantButCancelled.com, dedicated to popular programs that got the ax.
