Based on the ratings results provided by Nielsen Media Research for its National Hispanic Television Index, the net reports eight months of sustained growth in weekday primetime (Monday through Friday 7-11 p.m.) among key demos of adults 18-49 and 18-34.
While it still has a long way to go before it reaches the double-digit ratings level of market leader Univision, web has reported an average 3.9 rating in the adult 18-49 demo, up 11% on December and a 44% increase on January 2005.
Telemundo has a 24% share of Spanish-language broadcast television in adults 18-49 (787,000 viewers) compared to Univision's 70+%.

Ratings for Miami-produced "El cuerpo del deseo" have increased 75% in 18-49 and 100% in 18-34 since its bow in July.
The good news has also spread to revamped Telemundo sibling, the youth-targeted bilingual net mun2, which posted gains among 12-34 for all key daytime slots, ranging from 88% for Saturday 4-6 p.m. to 150% for 5-7 p.m. on Mondays-Fridays and Sundays.
Telemundo has been rated on the National Television Index alongside the English-language nets since Feb. 1. It follows Univision, which joined the NHTI on Dec. 26. Telemundo and Univision continue to subscribe to the NHTI, which only measures Hispanic auds, through September 2007, when the index will be phased out in favor of a single system for all nets.
