The pic is in 14 markets so far and international cume has hit $42 million, more than three times its domestic gross.
The thriller with comic overtones -- set in London rather than in Allen's trademark Gotham -- generated more than $26 million in France, Italy and Spain alone.
The pic now looks likely to be his most commercially successful film since the 1986 "Hannah and Her Sisters."
Even in recent years, when Allen's comedies showed minimal traction Stateside, his pics played better overseas:
? "Melinda and Melinda" ($3.8 million domestic, $16 million foreign)
? "Anything Else" ($3.2 million domestic, $10 million foreign)
? "Hollywood Ending" ($4.8 million domestic, $10 million foreign)
? "The Curse of the Jade Scorpion" ($7.5 million domestic, $11 million foreign).
But "Match" hasn't shown much traction in the U.K., where some crix have carped about the pic's depiction of London and Brits. It's taken in under $4 million in three weeks there.
