Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The three-hour music event will be broadcast live preceded by a one-hour red carpet special. A date for the next Latin Grammys, to be held in the fourth quarter, has not been set.
TNT Latin America VP-general manager Rick Perez also announced the acquisition of TV series "The Closer," which will bow on the net on March 19. As with its two other exclusive series -- "Veronica Mars" and "Battlestar Galactica" -- "The Closer" will be broadcast in English with either Spanish or Portuguese subtitles.
