Blucas to take shot at 'Killing'

Actor to star in indie thriller

Thesp Marc Blucas will topline the indie thriller "The Killing Floor" for director Gideon Raff. Doug Liman and Avi Arad are executive producing the pic.

Story centers on a literary agent, played by Blucas, who moves into a coveted penthouse apartment. Once settled, he begins receiving violent crime scene photographs that appear to have taken place in the apartment, followed by stalker videotapes that document his every move.

Eden Wurmfeld is producing. She has previously teamed with Liman on "Swingers," "See Jane Run" and "Mr. and Mrs. Smith." She recently produced "Puccini for Beginners" which is in competition at Sundance.

Raff will direct from a script he wrote with Ryan Swanson. A graduate of the American Film Institute, Raff worked as Liman's assistant on "Mr. and Mrs. Smith" which led to a gig directing a short film starring Brad Pitt.

Blucas is known to TV audiences for his work opposite Sarah Michelle Gellar on "Buffy." He has also starred in more than a dozen movies, including "First Daughter" opposite Katie Holmes and the upcoming "3" and "After Sex" opposite Taryn Manning and Jane Seymour.
