Pair take a shine to 'Dark'

Thesps take walk to Cherry Road

Cherry Road Films and Double Edge Entertainment are producing the teen horror pic "Dark Reaches." Jessica Pare ("Notorious") and Johnny Lewis ("The OC") are in talks to star.

Shooting is skedded to begin this spring in Taiwan.

Mark Marabate script is the story of five teens who stumble upon an eerie cave and get trapped inside, only to discover unspeakable horrors.

Cherry Road's Kendall Morgan is producing with Double Edge's Nina Yang. The pair previously partnered to finance and produce "Mail Order Wife."

Cherry Road, which has an overall development deal with Warner Independent, is in post-production on "Southland Tales," written and directed by Richard Kelly for UIP.

Double Edge is a production and talent shingle with offices in Los Angeles and Taiwan, where it has access to benefits and resources unavailable to Western companies. Double Edge has several features slated to be produced in Taiwan and greater China, including "Chasing the Dragon" with Wesley Snipes.
