Meanwhile, Kanye West, Alicia Keys and Mariah Carey topped the NAACP Image Awards' recording noms, with four apiece -- including outstanding song and album.
Noms were announced Tuesday at the Peninsula Hotel in Beverly Hills.
Among TV laffers, "Bernie," "Chris" and "Half" will face off with "The Boondocks" and "Girlfriends" for the top prize.
On the drama side, "Grey's Anatomy" led all hourlongs with four nominations, including drama skein, where it will face off with "Commander in Chief," "CSI: Miami," "House" and "Lost."
"Crash" will face off with "Coach Carter," "Diary of a Mad Black Woman," "Hitch" and "Hustle & Flow" for top film prize.
Among thesps, Bernie Mac, Donald Faison, George Lopez, Omar Gooding and Tyler James Williams are up for the comedy actor prize in TV, while actresses Holly Robinson Peete, Jill Marie Jones, Rachel True, Tichina Arnold and Tracee Ellis Ross are also up for the top award.
Among drama actors Hill Harper, Ice-T, Isaiah Washington, Jesse L. Martin and Omar Epps will face off, while CCH Pounder, Khandi Alexander, Kimberly Elise, Marianne Jean-Baptiste and Vivica A. Fox will compete for the actress trophy.
In film, Kimberly Elise, Queen Latifah, Rosario Dawson, Ziyi Zhang and Zoe Saldana are up for the actress prize, while Laurence Fishburne, Samuel L. Jackson, Shemar Moore, Terrence Howard and Will Smith have been nommed as best actor.
Facing off in the album category are Keys, Carey, West, Mary J. Blige, and Luther Vandross.
The Image Awards will recognize directors for the first time this year, in categories including dramatic series, comedy series and feature film/TV movie. Voting will be handled by a blue ribbon panel, unlike most of the other awards, which are selected by NAACP members.
The NAACP Image Awards tape Feb. 25 at the Shrine Auditorium for broadcast on March 3 on Fox.
