Fox has ruled in favor of the legal drama pilot "Damages," while CBS on Friday elected the D.C.-based project "Company Town" to its pilot roster.
"Damages" and "Company Town" rep the latest two thumbs-up as pilot season kicks into gear. "Damages," from scribe Jonathan Lisco, revolves around "the pathology and personal hazards" lawyers face in juggling their career and personal lives.
Twentieth Century Fox TV is behind the drama, which Lisco will exec produce. His other credits include "The District" and "Jack & Bobby."
As for "Company Town," the drama pilot takes a look at the lives of government agents who happen to live in the same Washington neighborhood.
Elwood Reid ("The Pennsylvania Miners' Story") will write and exec produce, along with Larry Sanitsky. Paramount Network TV is aboard to produce.
Reid's other credits include "Blind Justice." He also wrote the upcoming telepic "Robert Ludlum's Covert One: The Hades Factor."
