Routh, who makes his film debut with the actioner, said he is trying to prepare for the summer launch of "Superman Returns," and his subsequent "launch out of obscurity."
The torch relay -- which organizers have dubbed "a great popular road show" -- sparked in Rome on Dec. 8 and has been making its way over an intricate 11,000-kilometer route that crisscrosses all of Italy's provinces.
