Originally published by Alloy and HarperCollins, story follows three teen sisters coping with the death of their father. Alloy's Leslie Morgenstein and Bob Levy will produce.
Alloy produced and published with HarperCollins "The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants," which Warner Bros. released this summer.
Other books from Alloy's catalog set up at studios include "The A-List" at Universal, with Pam Falk and Mike Ellis ("The Wedding Planner") scripting, and "Gossip Girl" at Warners.
Among the TV projects Alloy has in the works are two telepics, "Gender Bender" for Nickelodeon and "The Nine Lives of Chloe King" for ABC Family.
"Firebird" is the first studio assignment for Holley, who was featured this summer as one of Variety's 10 Screenwriters to Watch.
After seven years of editing industrial safety films, the Richmond, Va., resident began making her own shorts about cloning, human tissue research and biohazard recovery.
She broke into the biz with spec "Sunshine Cleaning," which was acquired by producer Glenn Williamson. Project has Ashley Judd and Zooey Deschanel attached to star as two sisters who own a crime-scene cleaning outfit.
Overseeing "Firebird" for Fox 2000 are execs Erin Lindsey and Carla Hacken.
