Gollum guy set for Animation Days

Ken McGaugh, lead technical di-rector on "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy and "Batman Begins," will be in Swansea, Wales, for this year's Anima-tion Days event.

McGaugh will be at a seminar Nov. 25 to talk about his work, including skin shading for Gollum in "LOTR."

Event is organized and run by Swansea Institute's School of Digital Media with support from the Welsh Development Agency.

Last year more than 650 delegates attended seminars from some of the world's visual effects giants, including DreamWorks, EA Games and Aard-man Animations.

Swansea's Animation Days runs Nov. 22-26.
