'Jade' polishes up distrib deals

Pic is shooting in China under Annila

"Jade Warrior," the first Finnish-Chinese martial arts film, is lining up distribution deals.

Pic, which is shooting in China under helmer A.J. Annila, will be distributed in China through Warner Bros., in Scandinavia by Sandrew Metronome, in Benelux by A Film and in Greece by Odeon Films. France's Rezo Films recently came on board as sales agent and expects to strike additional deals during AFM.

A fantasy blending Chinese and Finnish mythologies, "Jade Warrior" stars Markku Peltola ("Man Without a Past") and Zhang Jingchu.

Production is by Blind Spot Pictures (Finland), Ming Prods. (China), FuWorks (Netherlands) and Film Tower (Estonia).
