Twentieth TV said it's developing two court shows for the 2006-07 season in firstrun syndication, one featuring an English-language version of Telemundo's "La Corte de Familia."

The bilingual judge of "La Corte," Cristina cq Perez, an attorney, will make the switch to the Twentieth edition, whose producer/developer Peter Brennan also launched "Judge Judy" and "Judge Joe Brown," two longrunning syndication hits distributed by Paramount TV.

The gavel on the second court show will be in the hands of Lynn Toler cq, a former municipal-court judge from Cleveland Heights. Toler previously presided over Twentieth's 2001 syndicated series "Power of Attorney."

Twentieth already produces two syndicated court shows, "Divorce Court," now in its seventh season, and "Judge Alex," a rookie show that has pulled in enough viewers to induce the distributor to renew it for the 2006-07 season.
