
Arnett
Will Arnett will topline New Line's "We're the Millers," a comedy about a marijuana dealer trying to get out of the business after making one last score by smuggling 1,400 pounds of pot from Mexico.
Thesp's in final negotiations to star in the comedy, penned by the "Wedding Crashers" scripting team of Steve Faber and Bob Fisher. Studio's aiming to start production next year.
Peter Cattaneo ("The Full Monty") is directing "We're the Millers," produced by Vincent Newman, Tucker Tooley and Happy Walters with Matthew Weaver co-producing. David Heyman exec produces, with JC Spink and Chris Bender co-exec producing; New Line's Richard Brener, Cale Boyter and Magnus Kim oversee the project for the studio.
Arnett, who continues to star in "Arrested Development," is one of the town's busiest actors. He's completed work in Sony's "RV" alongside Robin Williams and Carsey-Werner's "You Are Going to Prison" with Dax Shepard, and he is attached to "Dad Can't Lose" and "Get 'Em Wet" for Paramount and "Most Likely to Succeed" for Universal.
