Lions Gate has tapped musicvideo helmers Ryan Smith and Frank Borin to direct family comedy "Kidnapped," starring James "Lil' J.J." Lewis and Bobbe J Thompson.

"Kidnapped" is being produced by Queen Latifah's Flavor Unit shingle with Latifah, Shakim Compere and Latee French on board to produce. John Sacchi is overseeing for Lions Gate.

Story, penned by Dwayne Alexander Smith, revolves around the kidnapping of three siblings after their parents win the lottery.

Smith and Borin, who met eight years ago while freshmen at Loyola Marymount, have specialized in directing hip-hop videos since then with an emphasis on presenting original stories. Under the moniker Smith 'n' Borin, they've helmed 50 projects for artists such as Eminem, Cypress Hill, Simple Plan and Good Charlotte.

"We're going to try recapturing the comedy/adventure feel from films that were around when we were growing up like 'Home Alone' and 'Adventures in Babysitting,'" Borin said.
