NL laffer fits Carell to a 'T'

Thesp to star in Cooper-produced pic

New Line is getting an injection of Steve Carell.

The "40 Year-Old Virgin" star is attached to a comedy pitch from "50 First Dates" scribe George Wing that the mini-major has bought.

Project, tentatively titled "High T," is about a man who starts taking testosterone shots. His behavior varies wildly from crying to aggression based on his hormonal levels.

Bob Cooper is producing through his Landscape Entertainment shingle, based at New Line. Karen Lunder, head of Landscape's film unit, exec produces.

Landscape has several projects with high-profile comedy talent in development, including "I Know That You Know That I Know" with Jim Carrey, "Fly on the Wall" with Will Ferrell and "Man in Uniform" with Kevin James.

Wing is co-producing and co-wrote with John Jeffcoat the indie pic "Holiday in Goa," which starts production this fall.

Wing's manager Rick Berg helped put the project together.

Kent Alterman and Michelle Weiss are overseeing for New Line.
