Parise will take on 'World'

'Dick' starts shooting next month in Toronto

NEW YORK -- Writer-helmer Vanessa Parise -- whose "Kiss the Bride" won the grand jury prize at the 2002 Hamptons Film Festival -- is following up that pic with romantic comedy "Dick and Jane vs. the World."

Parise will helm and star in the film, set in the ad world, where a cynical guy who falls for a young woman with a secret past.

Noble House Prods. is backing the pic, which Parise will exec produce with Jordan Gertner. Latter exec produced Larry Clark's "Bully" and co-produced Vincent Gallo's "Buffalo '66."

"Dick" starts shooting next month in Toronto.

"Bride" starred Alyssa Milano, Sean Patrick Flanery, Talia Shire and Burt Young in the story of four sisters coming together to celebrate a wedding.

MGM Home Entertainment distributed.
