Greenstein brokered two of Sirius' biggest deals: the five-year, $500 million pact to lure Howard Stern from Infinity Broadcasting and the seven-year, $220 million deal for the National Football League.
Sirius broadcast its first season of NFL games last year. Stern is set to join the satcaster in January.
Since Greenstein joined Sirius in May 2004, he's inked deals at a furious pace, signing up a host of celebs and sports figures including Judith Regan, Martha Stewart, Tony Hawk, Lance Armstrong and Jimmy Buffett.
The deal increases Greenstein's base salary to $700,000 from $525,000 and grants him 1.25 million stock options that vest over the course of the deal with a strike price of $6.60 a share, according to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
Before moving to Sirius, Greenstein was chairman of USA Films and also served as co-prexy of October Films.
In addition to Greenstein, the company also locked in chief financial officer David Frears through 2008.
