Leonardo DiCaprio's production banner, Appian Way, has preemptively bought Sheldon Turner's pitch "In Dark Woods" for Appian and Graham King's Initial Entertainment Group to produce.
Sean Bailey, who brought the pitch to Appian with Turner, also will produce.
While Appian is keeping the plot under wraps, it described the project as a dark revenge thriller.
Appian purchased the pitch through King's IEG. Brad Simpson will oversee for Appian.
Turner, who wrote the screenplay for this summer's remake of "The Longest Yard," penned upcoming horror-thriller "Pacific Air Flight 121" for New Line Cinema.
