HOLLYWOOD -- ABC movies and minis exec Greg Shephard is jumping into the tenpercentery world, joining the Broder-Webb-Chervin-Silbermann Agency as head of longform.
As exec director of movies and miniseries for ABC, Shephard worked on a slew of high-profile projects, including the upcoming Stephen King pic "Desperation," "The Muppets' Wizard of Oz" and Mitch Albom's "The Five People You Meet in Heaven." He had been at the Alphabet since 1998.
"Many of us had worked with Greg during his tenure at ABC and we were always impressed with his intelligence ... and perspective," BWCS partner Chris Silbermann said, adding Shephard's network production experience will be "a tremendous asset in managing our clients and their long-form projects."
BWCS has helped put together a number of major longform projects in recent months, including the upcoming Salma Hayek/Oprah Winfrey pic "Paradise," to be written and helmed by BWCS-repped Darnell Martin (
Daily Variety, Aug. 3).
Other BWCS clients active in the longform arena include "Over There" co-creator Chris Gerolmo ("Citizen X"); producer Mark Gordon ("Warm Springs"); Jason Horwitch (HBO's Stax records pic); Stephen Harrigan ("Emperor"); Anna Hamilton Phelan ("Girl, Interrupted"); Larry Gross ("We Don't Live Here Anymore"); and Stan Chervin ("Moneyball").
