Born in Tucson, Ariz., he attended UCLA and served with the U.S. Coast Guard.While an agent, he represented actors including Sterling Hayden and Bette Davis. He was also known as Edmond Chevie, a name given to him by Aaron Rosenburg when he began work as a producer at Universal International.
E'Chavarrie produced "Rock Pretty Baby" in 1957, with Rod McKuen, Henry Mancini, Bobby Troup and Sonny Burke. He later produced "Eighteen and Anxious" with Yvonne Craig.
Upon leaving Universal, Edmond produced a number of independent films. He founded a telecommunications firm, Space Time Systems, in 1975. He was developing a sci fi film and theme park project, Magicstar, when he died.
Edmond is survived by two sons, two sisters a brother and three granddaughters.
