Kate Hudson is joining Owen Wilson in Universal's "You, Me and Dupree."
Along with Wilson, U's outgoing vice chairs, Scott Stuber and Mary Parent, are producing the laffer, making it their first title under their previously announced production banner.
Hudson will play a newlywed whose husband takes in his best man as a house guest after the wedding.
Joe and Anthony Russo are aboard to direct the pic, penned by Mike LeSieur.
Production is to get under way in the fall. Aaron Kaplan and Sean Perrone exec produce.
U production prexy Donna Langley is overseeing the project.
Hudson appears in U's upcoming thriller "Skeleton Key." She is also developing the romantic comedy "Can You Keep a Secret?" with producer Lynda Obst at Paramount.
