Kosslyn conduced acting classes at his studio in Hollywood for 42 years. He was also a coach at Universal and Warners, and coached performers including David Janssen, Mary Tyler Moore and John Travolta.
He spent six years with Clint Eastwood's Malpaso Productions as casting director, dialogue coach and actor.
Born in New London, Conn., he started in community theater and directed plays while serving in WWII. He studied at the Actor's Lab in Los Angeles and worked at the Circle Theater, the Stage Society, the Players Ring and the Melrose Theater.
He appeared in TV shows including "Charley's Angels," "Hawaii 5-0," "Cagney and Lacey" and "Cheers."
On film, he appeared in "Play Misty for Me," "High Plains Drifter," "The Eiger Sanction" and "The Outlaw Josey Wales."
In the 1980s, he helped form OPACT, the Organization of Professional Acting Coaches and Teachers.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon.
