Creative Light moves in for 'Kill'

Reality players get second chance at stardom

Creative Light Entertainment has teamed up with E! Entertainment to executive produce the upcoming summer reality series "Kill Reality" and to produce the low-budget horror movie underlying the premise.

Premiering on E! at 10 p.m. ET/PT July 25, the eight-part, one-hour series casts reality stars from "Survivor," "The Amazing Race," "The Bachelor," "The Apprentice" and "The Real World" in a movie called "Scorned" that began shooting this week in the L.A. area.

Pic will premiere on E! shortly after the series ends this fall. It will then be released in an R-rated edition on DVD with original bonus features and some programming from the reality show that may get a separate DVD release from E!

Although Creative Light has had discussions with New Line about the DVD release of "Scorned," no distrib has been set. Industry consultant Seth Willenson brokered the deal between E! and Creative Light.

Lisa Berger, senior VP, programming development, E! Networks, said that a DVD of the series would ideally be released shortly after the series ends its run, or perhaps tied to a second run of the program.
