Marianne Paskowski is stepping down in mid-July as VP of editorial development and editor-in-chief of Multichannel News. She will continue as a contributor and columnist for the magazine, a sister publication of Daily Variety in the Reed Business fold.

Under her 15-year leadership, MCN grew to a position of dominance in the cable marketplace with a roughly 90% market share.

"I am sorry to be losing a strong editor and a leader within RBI. At the same time, I am happy for Marianne as she heads out on her next chapter," Variety Group president Charles C. Koones said.

Paskowski reported to Koones.

Paskowski and her husband have decided to relocate permanently to Cape Cod. No replacement for Paskowski has yet been named.
