The book, to be published by Harper, centers on the lives of Wall Street denizens as told through the eyes of a Brazilian whose job is buffing shoes at a major New York financial institution.
VP Kevin McCormick is overseeing the project for Warner Bros., which hasn't yet set up the project with a producer. Studio bought the book rights through its recently established New York fund, designed to obtain projects from journalists, playwrights and other literary sources in Gotham.
