BANFF, Alberta -- Comweb Group topper Paul Bronfman will team up with Howard Stern on a remake of the classic teen grossout comedy "Porky's."
Pic, called "Howard Stern's Porky's," will be produced by Dan Gross' company, formerly titled Arclight Films.
Company has been dormant for a dozen years while Bronfman's Toronto-based Comweb Group concentrated on other divisions including studios, equipment rental and production services.
Move comes after the sale last week of Bronfman's 50% interest in Toronto-based Protocol Entertainment, in which he has been a partner with co-owner, prexy and CEO Steve Levitan since the two formed the company in 1993.
The company sold the rights to "Porky's" to Stern several years ago.
Script is on its fifth or sixth draft, according to Bronfman.
