The popular and often explicit show followscontestants who pair off as they set to build a house that the winning couple will receive as final prize. Show's English title at Mipcom was "How to Build Your Love."
Created on a $12 million budget, "Dom-2" brings in about a third of the station's estimated $150 million annual revenue.
TNT director general Roman Petrenko said TNT would receive less than $100,000 from Sony directly for Spanish-language rights, plus a considerable 40% of all associated revenues from the show that will likely dwarf that figure.
The Spanish version may well prove less hot than its Russian counterpart, given prevailing broadcasting standards. "Dom-2" has drawn considerable ire from deputies at Russia's parliament for its sexually explicit scenes.
