Beau Flynn and Tripp Vinson are set to produce via their New Line-based Contrafilm shingle.
Created and self-published by Jeff Parker, "Interman" concerns a young man raised in seclusion who discovers he was genetically engineered by the government to be a superhuman killing machine. The military is after him, and he has to fight his instinct to become a killer.
"Exorcist: The Beginning" scribe Alexi Hawley is penning the adaptation.
With "Lord of the Rings" over, New Line has been busy developing a number of potential big-budget franchises, including prehistoric shark thriller "Meg," actioner "Shoot-Em-Up" and fantasy trilogy "His Dark Materials."
Contrafilm development exec Lisa Zambri, who championed the project, will associate produce. Ford Gilmore, who brought the graphic novel to her attention, is co-producing.
Cale Boyter and Magnus Kim are overseeing for New Line.
