Brian Grazer and Imagine Entertainment will produce and Joe and Anthony Russo will helm and co-produce an untitled Chuck Martin pitch starring Will Arnett.
Arnett will play a guy who attends his 20th high school reunion and tells his dream girl a pack of lies about being fabulously wealthy and successful back in New York. When she shows up in Gotham, he goes to extraordinary lengths to keep up the ruse.
All involved have strong ties to the Emmy-winning but ratings-challenged "Arrested Development." Grazer and Imagine TV produce the skein, Arnett stars as Gob Bluth, Martin is one of the show's writers and the Russo brothers helmed the pilot.
Danny Halsted (who manages Martin), Peter Principato and Paul Young (who manage Arnett) will exec produce.
Donna Langley, who had been overseeing the project for Universal before her promotion to production prexy, will continue to shepherd the pic. Production veep Kim Roth will oversee for Imagine.
Arnett appears in the upcoming "Monster-in-Law" as well as Danny Leiner indie "The Great New Wonderful." He stars in "You're Going to Prison," now under way and financed by Carsey-Werner.
