Disney Studios has snapped up a romantic comedy pitch from scribe Kara Holden.

Story, which sold for mid-six figures, follows a romance between a "blue state" boy who is always on his Blackberry and a "red state" girl who has grown up on a peach farm.

Disney production prexy Nina Jacobson heard the pitch and bought it on the spot, setting it up with Karz Entertainment.

Mike Karz will produce and senior VP Russell Hollander will exec produce with Hollander and Katherine Brown overseeing for the shingle. VP of production Louanne Brickhouse, who originated the idea and developed it with Karz, will shepherd the project for the studio.

Holden is becoming one of the busier scripters in Hollywood. An award-winning playwright in her USC days, she's scored four preemptive pitch sales since last May. Paramount bought "Inner Bitch" for Kelsey Grammer's Grammnet; Robert Cort Prods. made a preemptive purchase of "My Girls"; and Spyglass bought her pitch for comicbook adaptation "Spin."

Karz, based at New Line, has producing credits for "First Daughter" and "Malibu's Most Wanted." He's producing "Honeymoon With Harry" and "Killing Yourself to Live: 85% a True Story" for New Line.
