Frank Langella will play newspaper editor Perry White in "Superman Returns," which Bryan Singer is directing for Warner Bros.
Pic, about to shoot in Australia, stars Brandon Routh as the Man of Steel, Kevin Spacey as Lex Luthor and Kate Bosworth as Lois Lane. Parker Posey, Eva Marie Saint, James Marsden, Kal Penn and Sam Huntington are also set.
Michael Dougherty and Dan Harris penned the script.
Langella is currently shooting "Kitchen Confidential," a pilot for Fox directed by Darren Star. Thesp is also playing William Paley in "Good Night and Good Luck," the George Clooney-directed pic about newsman Edward R. Murrow.
