NBC Universal communications veep Jennifer Skorlich has been elevated to senior VP of cable publicity and NBC latenight.

She will report to NBC U TV publicity exec VP Rebecca Marks and cable entertainment/cross network strategy president Jeff Gaspin.

Skorlich will continue to oversee NBC U's stable of cablers, which includes Bravo, USA, Sci Fi Channel and Trio. Since the July merger, she's worked to integrate the publicity teams across all channels while continuing to coordinate PR for the Peacock's latenight programs.

"Since the merger, she has played a major part in managing our successful campaign to integrate the new cable channels under the NBC Universal umbrella," Gaspin said.

Previously, Skorlich handled PR for Bravo and NBC alternative series and latenight. Exec was instrumental in the launch campaigns for Bravo makeover hit "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy" as well as NBC's "The Apprentice," "Average Joe" and "Fear Factor."

Exec joined NBC as a press manager in 1992, and has since overseen programming publicity for latenight, daytime, longform and alternative areas. For many years, she also served as PR point person for "The Tonight Show With Jay Leno."
