Warner finds 'Maid' man

Helmer hired for WB laffer

Warner Bros. Pictures has hired "Danny Deckchair" helmer Jeff Balsmeyer to direct "Maid of Dishonor."

Denise DiNovi produces the romantic comedy in which a jilted bride must face her former fiance as they are the maid of honor and best man at her sister's wedding.

Cristi Limm wrote the script. Allison Greenspan is the executive producer. Jessica Goodman and Dan Furie are the project's execs.

Balsmeyer made his feature-helming bow with "Danny Deckchair," a Lions Gate Films release that starred Rhys Ifans.

DiNovi produced the upcoming "The Sisterhood of Traveling Pants" and "Lucky You," which stars Drew Barrymore, both for Warners.
