Careers contest kicks off

One winner will gain access to power players

HOLLYWOOD -- Media and Entertainment job site VarietyCareers on Monday kicked off its "Ultimate Hollywood Agenda" contest.

Site is inviting anyone who wants a career in entertainment or needs a career change to enter.

Powered by Reed Business Information media publications including Daily Variety, the contest provides one winner with access to power players in entertainment.

In addition to meeting three high-level execs in the industry based on the winner's area of interest -- marketing, programming, finance, etc. -- the winner will spend a full day and two nights in Hollywood, including dinner at a hot hang-out.

They will breakfast with Variety Group president Charlie Koones and attend a Hollywood event.

To enter the contest applicants must log on to Varietycareers.com and update or create their resume before May 31. Contest launches in conjunction with the VarietyCareers site redesign and the publication today of Daily Variety's "Careers in Entertainment" special, due out on newsstands today.
