Discovery Channel exec producers David McKillop and Judy Plavnick have been tapped to fill two of three new senior exec producer posts in the net's production department.
McKillop will be senior exec producer, series, and Plavnick senior exec producer, daytime and fringe. A search continues for an exec to fill the third position, senior exec producer, events. All three will report to production veep Stephen Reverand.
McKillop began at the net in 2003 and has produced series such as "Monster Garage," "Monster House" and "Deadliest Catch." He previously ran Big Rock Production and worked for National Geographic Television.
Plavnick oversaw series like "American Chopper," "American Hotrod" and "Mythbusters" since coming to Discovery in 2002. Prior to that she worked at Discovery digital networks and did stints at NBC News, NFL Films and PBS.
