New Line Cinema has picked up "Man Scout," a spec from "Anger Management" writer David Dorfman and producer John Jacobs.
High-concept comedy about a 32-year-old Boy Scout will be shepherded by New Line's Kent Alterman and Luke Ryan. Colin O'Reilly serves as executive producer.
Jacobs recently renamed his First Entertainment shingle Smart Entertainment and added managers Brad Dorros, formerly of Management 360, and O'Reilly.
New Line also is developing Dorfman's "The Retreat," to be produced through Smart.
Jacobs most recently produced Johnny Knoxville starrer "The Ringer" with Conundrum Entertainment for Fox Searchlight.
