Carr was most recently VP of communications for the CBS TV network from 1999-2004.
In her new job, Carr reports to Dave Kenin, exec VP of programming, who said Carr is "the perfect fit" for Hallmark because of her long involvement with CBS' movies and miniseries. Hallmark Channel has put much of its focus on original movies, a strategy that helped the network up its total viewers 42% in 2004.
Before 1999, Carr held CBS jobs including VP and director of publicity for movies, minis and specials, children's and daytime.
