Dallaire was the Force Commander of the United Nations Assistance Mission in Rwanda during the genocide 10 years ago. His book about his experience inspired the Peter Raymont docu "Shake Hands With the Devil: The Journey of Romeo Dallaire," which won the audience award for World Cinema Documentaries at this year's Sundance Festival. The Nick Nolte character in "Hotel Rwanda" was loosely based on Dallaire.
The fest will present an In Conversation session with Raymont June 14. The fest takes place June 12-15 in Banff, Alberta.
