Bruce Willis is set to star in "Solace," a New Line thriller scripted by Ted Griffin and Sean Bailey.

Picture will start production in July.

Willis will play a doctor with psychic powers who's enlisted by the police to help catch a serial killer. It turns out the killer has similar gifts.

Beau Flynn and Tripp Vinson of Contrafilm will produce along with Matthias Emcke. Thomas Augsberger and Bailey exec produce with Chris Moore and Arnold Rifkin.

New Line's Toby Emmerich and Richard Brener are steering the pic and are expected to set a director this week.

The thriller has been a high priority since the studio paid seven figures four years ago for the script by "Ocean's Eleven" scribe Griffin and Bailey, a writer and producer who partners with Matt Damon and Ben Affleck in LivePlanet.
