Reitman
HOLLYWOOD -- Regency Enterprises is in negotiations with Ivan Reitman to helm the comedy "Super Ex" from Emmy-winning "Simpsons" writer/co-exec producer Don Payne.
Story centers on a man who discovers that the needy, manipulative woman he's dating is a superhero. When he breaks up with her, she uses her superpowers against him.
The development deal with Regency would represent the first helming project in four years for Reitman.
Gavin Polone is producing "Super Ex." He is also developing the amnesia thriller "Tick Tock" at Columbia Pictures.
Regency exec VP Kara Francis will oversee "Super Ex" for Regency prexy of production Sanford Panitch.
