Drama in WB's 'Blood'

Warner finds a 'Father' figure

Warner Bros. Pictures will produce "Blood Father," a drama based on the novel by Peter Craig, with Anonymous Content attached to produce.

Andrea Berloff will adapt the screenplay.

Story concerns a runaway who turns to her reformed ex-con father after she witnesses a murder. To protect his long-estranged daughter, he is forced to return to his criminal lifestyle.

Book was published last week by Hyperion. Anonymous chairman Steve Golin bought film rights to the title in August.

Golin will produce with Anonymous features head Alix Madigan. Justin Rosenblatt will serve as executive producer. Warners exec VP Lynn Harris and creative exec Jess Rosenthal oversee the project for the studio.

Berloff's credits include an untitled World Trade Center pic for Double Features and "Borders" for Scott Free.
