SYDNEY -- Susan Sarandon will star in Aussie film "Irresistible."
Sarandon has been working on the thriller's script for six months with writer-director Ann Turner ("Celia").
She'll play a woman tortured by the fear that her husband's co-worker is trying to steal him, their children and her life.
Sam Neill plays her spouse, and English thesp Emily Blunt ("My Summer of Love") is the co-worker. Bud Tingwell and Georgie Parker have supporting roles. Producers are David Parker and Tatiana Kennedy.
Financing has been completed after earlier plans to make it as a co-production with the U.K. fell through, and it's due to roll in Melbourne mid-March.
Pic is now financed by the Film Finance Corp. Australia, Film Victoria and U.K. fund Baker Street.
Palace has pre-bought Oz rights, and Icon will release in the U.K, Square One in Germany and Blue Star in Italy. London-based Intandem reps the pic for all other territories.
