G.M. in groove at U Motown

Kronfeld upped to oversee music group

Andrew Kronfeld has been upped to general manager of Universal Motown Records Group.

Previously executive VP of the company, Kronfeld joined Universal Motown as senior veep of international in 2001. Before joining the company, Kronfeld was VP of international marketing for Universal Music Intl. in London and VP marketing for Island Records USA.

"As our company continues to evolve dramatically, Andrew has played an increasingly important role in helping us manage our daily activities," said Monte Lipman, president of Universal Records. "As he moves up to his new post, his expertise, insight and sensitivity to the needs of our artists will be invaluable."

Motown Records Group is part of Universal Music Group and has a roster that includes Brian McKnight, Michael McDonald, Kem, India.Arie and Erykah Badu.
