NEW YORK -- Distributor Kino Intl. has snapped up domestic rights to helmer Yvan Attal's "Happily Ever After" in advance of the film's screening next month as part of the Film Society of Lincoln Center's Rendez-Vous With French Cinema fest.
Distrib has further picked up U.S. rights to Keren Yedaya's France-Israel co-production "Or."
Bought from Pathe, the Gallic-lingo "After," from the director of "My Wife Is an Actress," stars Charlotte Gainsbourg, Emmanuelle Seigner and Attal in the interweaving stories of two Parisian couples and a single man.
"Or," which won the Camera d'Or prize for first film last year at Cannes, follows a prostitute and her daughter living in Tel Aviv. Pic was bought from Israeli banner Transfax.
Kino's recent rollouts include Wong Kar Wai's "Days of Being Wild," Manoel de Oliveira's "A Talking Picture" and the docu (with HBO) "Watermarks."
Rendez-Vous fest is also presented by Unifrance and the French Film Office.
